40k Your Way in May
Join us this May! Challenge yourself to get active and support people living with MND
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association are asking you to join us this May and challenge yourself to complete 40km throughout the month (walk, jog, run, cycle, swim – do it your way!). By taking part, you will be raising funds to support over 470 families in Ireland living with Motor Neurone Disease. You will also be helping us mark 40 years of caring for the MND Community!
Every kilometre you cover will have an impact. All the funds you raise will support our services for people living with MND, including funding our 6 nurses, specialised medical equipment such as communication aids and wheelchairs and funding homecare hours… to name a few.
Over 85% of our income comes from people taking on challenges such as this. So lace up your runners and let’s go!
Registration is FREE and you will also receive a 40K Your Way in May cap and a card to help track your kilometres.

Chris Gilmartin's Story
This June will be a year since we lost our dad, James Gilmartin. It is an honour and privilege to be asked to be an ambassador for the 40K Your Way in May.
I will be doing this challenge in his memory and to raise awareness for those fighting the ongoing battle that is MND.
When my Dad passed I set myself the challenge of running 120km last July. With the help of my 3 friends we raised vital funds for the IMNDA. With that said, I will be trebling the 40km Your Way in May to 120km with the hope of getting as many involved as possible.
